Justice Yogesh KhannaJustice Yogesh Khanna was born on 31st December, 1961. Did B.Com (Hons.) from Delhi University in the year 1983; and thereafter, LL.B. from Campus Law Centre, Delhi in the year 1986. He began his legal profession at District Courts, Delhi in the year 1986.
In the year 2000 joined Delhi Higher Judicial Service. During his tenure in the District Courts, handled various cases including the Nirbhaya’s case. Had been District Judge of North-West District, Rohini Courts, Delhi.
Elevated as Permanent Judge of Delhi High Court on 08th November, 2016.
Retired on 30.12.2023.
Justice Satish Chandra Sharma
Justice Satish Chandra SharmaHon’ble Mr. Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, B.Sc., LL.B
Born on 30th November, 1961 at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Father, Dr. B. N. Sharma, apart from being known as a well established agriculturalist, was also a renowned professor of Jabalpur University and subsequently the Vice Chancellor of Barkatullah University, Bhopal. Mother Smt. Shanti Sharma was a Principal in Maharani Lakshmibai Higher Secondary School and also worked as District Education Officer at Jabalpur before retirement. Started schooling from Christ Church Boys Higher Secondary School and passed 10th standard and 12th standard from Central School, Jabalpur. Enrolled as a student of Bachelor of Science in 1979 at Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar. Secured degree of Bachelor of Science in the year 1981 with distinction in three subjects.
Awarded National Merit Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies. Enrolled as a student of law in Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar in 1981. Graduated on top of the class and obtained LL.B. degree in 1984 with three university Gold Medals. Enrolled as an advocate on 1st September, 1984. Practiced in Constitutional, Service, Civil and Criminal matters before the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur. Was appointed Additional Central Government Counsel on 28th May, 1993 and was appointed senior panel counsel by Government of India on 28the June, 2004. In 2003, he was designated as a Senior Advocate by the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at the young age of 42, being one of the youngest senior advocates of Madhya Pradesh High Court.
Elevated as an Additional Judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court on 18th January, 2008. Appointed as a Permanent Judge on 15th January, 2010. Justice S.C. Sharma is an avid reader and is also known for his contributions to various Universities. He is associated with National Law universities. He is also on the Advisory Board of National Law Institute University, Bhopal and India International University of Legal Education and Research, Goa and has published numerous research articles and papers.
Transferred to Karnataka High Court as Judge on 31st December, 2020 and took oath on 4th January, 2021. He was later appointed as Acting Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court on 31st August, 2021. He was elevated as Chief Justice of Telangana High Court on 11th October, 2021 and transferred to Delhi High Court as Chief Justice and took oath of office on 28th June, 2022.

Justice Poonam A. Bamba
Justice Poonam A. BambaBorn on 01st September, 1961 at Delhi, did her schooling from Delhi. Graduated with Honours in Botany from Hansraj College, Delhi University in 1980. Completed LL.B. in the year 1983 and LL.M. in the year 1988 from Faculty of Law, Delhi University; holds Diploma in Administrative Law from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi.
Practiced as an advocate in Delhi District Courts and High Court of Delhi from 1983 to 1987. Worked with Banks- Punjab National Bank and Central Bank of India, as Law Officer and Deputy Chief Officer (Law) respectively, from 1987 to 1996; and with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Mumbai, as Division Chief (Legal) and Joint Legal Advisor from 1996 to 2002. Represented these banks and SEBI before various courts of India and also the Securities Appellate Tribunal, Mumbai.
Is a Trained Mediator.
Attended International Training Programmes- a month long Programme on Capital Market, at Baruch College, New York, USA, a Programme on Investigation and Enforcement of Securities Laws at Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Washington, USA and attended various conferences of IOSCO (International Organization of Securities Commissions).
Joined Delhi Higher Judicial Service on 05th December, 2002. During the tenure spanning over a period of 19 years approximately, presided over various jurisdictions viz. Matrimonial Court, Family Court as Judge/Principal Judge, Land Acquisition Court, Appellate Court under Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1971, Sessions Courts, Special Judge, CBI at Patiala House Courts.
Remained posted as District & Sessions Judge in different districts for a period of about five years i.e., at South East District, Saket from 08th December, 2016 to 30th April, 2017, at New Delhi District at Patiala House Courts from 01st May 2017 to 28th May, 2019 and as Principal District & Sessions Judge, at South District, Saket Courts Complex from 29th May, 2019 to 31st August, 2021.
Elevated as Permanent Judge of High Court of Delhi on 28th March, 2022.
Authored four books: Perfect Marriage- Not a Mirage, How to Save your Marriage (2nd Edition), Temple of Justice- A School of Life, Parents at War- Custody Battles in Indian Courts.

Justice Gaurang KanthBorn on 20th August, 1975 at Patna. Completed his High School from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi in the year 1992, graduation in Bachelor of Arts (History) from Hindu College, University of Delhi in the year 1995, Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi in the year 1998. He completed his Master of Laws from University of Denver, College of Law, Denver, Colorado, U.S.A in the year 2001.
He was a Central Government Standing Counsel for Delhi High Court and Group ‘B’ Panel Advocate for Supreme Court. He was also a Standing Counsel for Comptroller and Auditor General of India, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, East Delhi Municipal Corporation and Central Information Commission. He also served as counsel for Directorate of Enforcement, National Dope Testing Laboratory, Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Employees Provident Fund Organization, Employees State Insurance Corporation, Chandigarh Housing Board, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, etc.

Justice Najmi WaziriPassed the Indian School Certificate Examination from Boys’ High School, Allahabad. Graduated in B.A. Philosophy (Hons.) from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi in 1983. Completed LL.B. from Campus Law Center, Delhi University (1983-86) and LL.M. from Vrije Universiteit Brussels, Belgium (1994-95).
Enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi in 1987. Practiced before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Delhi, other High Courts and various tribunals and quasi judicial fora.

Justice Mukta GuptaBorn on 28th June, 1961, did her schooling from Montfort School. After completing graduation in (B.Sc. Zoology Hons.) from Hindu College, Delhi University in 1980, did LL.B from Campus Law Centre in 1983. Was enrolled with the Delhi Bar Council as an advocate in the year 1984. Practicing as a lawyer, has conducted cases on civil, criminal, constitutional and service laws. Was appointed Additional Public Prosecutor in Delhi High Court in January, 1993. Was appointed as the Standing counsel (Crl) for the Govt. of NCT of Delhi in Delhi High Court in August 2001. Has conducted many criminal cases including Parliament and Red Fort shootout cases, Jessica Lal murder case, Naina Sahni murder case, Nitish Katara murder case in the High Court and Supreme Court. Had been counsel for All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
Had been Special Counsel for CBI in the cases like Naval war room leak case, Priyadarshini Matoo murder case, Madhumita Sharma murder case. Was also a member of Delhi Legal Services Authority. Had been associated with issues and programmes for rehabilitation of destitute women, juveniles and prisoners.
Was elevated to Delhi High Court as an Additional Judge on 23rd October 2009 and became Permanent Judge on 29th May, 2014. Retired on 27.06.2023.
Justice Talwant Singh
Justice Talwant SinghJustice Talwant Singh was born on 4th June 1961 in village Bahla, Hoshiarpur, Punjab; did his initial schooling in village and then from N P Boys Higher Secondary School, Mandir Marg, New Delhi. He did his Graduation in Commerce from SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi University and completed a Masters in Commerce from Meerut University. He earned Advance Diploma in Management from IGNOU. He did his LL.B. from Meerut University in 1986.
Justice Singh joined Delhi Bar in 1986 and practiced as a litigation lawyer at High Court and District Courts of Delhi till April, 2000. His practice areas were Corporate Law, Family Law, Civil and Criminal Law. He joined Delhi Higher Judicial Service in May, 2000 as Additional District & Sessions Judge. While working as a judge, he presided over Courts dealing with Corruption Cases, Heinous Crimes, Service Tribunals, Civil and Family Law jurisdictions. He was promoted as District & Sessions Judge in December, 2014 and served in North-East and East Districts till April, 2017.
He was appointed as District & Sessions Judge (Headquarters), Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 1st May, 2017 and served there till 26th May, 2019. He was elevated as a permanent Judge of the High Court of Delhi on 27th May, 2019.
Apart from Judicial work, he has a great passion for use of ICT (Information & Communication Technology) in Courts and has been active in this field for the last more than 18 years and made his humble contribution in computerisation of District Courts in Delhi. Recognising Justice Singh’s interest in ICT, his services were requisitioned by Hon’ble Supreme Court of India as Member-Judicial of E-Committee in the year 2013. This Committee was entrusted with responsibility to computerize more than 14,000 Courts all over India, which it completed in record time. He was also member of the Software team responsible for development of National CIS (Case Information System) for all District Courts in India in collaboration with NIC, Pune.
During his tenure in Delhi District Courts, Justice Singh also remained Chairman of District Courts Website Committee and Nodal Officer of E-Courts Project and made his contribution in developing India’s First Paperless E-Court at District Court level. He has been a guest faculty at National Judicial Academy, State Judicial Academies, Universities, Information Technology Institutes and Law Enforcement Training Institutions.
His interest in use of ICT in Courts and Cyber Law has taken him to many foreign jurisdictions for delivering lectures to various stakeholders. He has also authored/edited books like District Courts Case Management Manual for Judges, District Courts User’s Manual for Lawyers & Litigants, Annual Reports of Delhi District Courts and has also written articles on ICT in Delhi District Courts, Cyber Law & Information Technology and Recent Trends in Use of Information Technology in Judiciary. Retired on 03.06.2023.
Justice Anu Malhotra
Justice Anu MalhotraJustice Anu Malhotra was born at Ahmedabad on 27th November, 1960. Did her schooling from Duruelo Convent, Bandra, Bombay and Junior College from Mithibai College of Science, Bombay. Graduated in B.Sc. from Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi in 1980 and completed LLB from the Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi in 1983. Joined the Delhi Judicial Service on 26th July, 1985 and was promoted to the Delhi Higher Judicial Service on 26th May, 2000. Is a trained Mediator trained under the aegis of the Hon’ble MCPC of the Supreme Court of India and is trained in Mediation by ISDLS (California) and trained as a Master Trainer by the CEDR, London at the ICADR, New Delhi and has imparted mediation training and trained several Mediators as Trainers in Mediation. Was the Director of the Delhi Judicial Academy, from mid 2009 to December, 2011 and is a Fellow of the Commonwealth Judicial Education Institute, Canada, and has been keenly involved in judicial education. Was the District and Sessions Judge, West District, Delhi from 6th May, 2013 to 27th April, 2015. Was the District and Sessions Judge South, Saket, New Delhi from 27th April, 2015 and has during the span of 31 years of judicial service adjudicated in a wide range of jurisdictions. Elevated as Permanent Judge of the High Court of Delhi on 8th November, 2016. Retired on 26.11.2022.
